About Ben Hewett

Ben Hewett is founding President of the Illinois Hawks, and has varied and vast experience. With more than a decade of experience in individual and group training, Ben brings a passion for developing young athletes into total ballplayers. Ben is a former professional catcher and was part of the 2011 Frontier League Champion Joliet Slammers, where he ranked the toughest Frontier League batter to strike out from 2011-2013. As a college player for Rollins College, he garnered numerous athletic and academic honors, including a South Region Gold Glove and All-Academic Team selection. In addition to coaching Hawks Baseball, Ben was a four year Assistant Coach at University of St. Francis, winning back-to-back Conference Championships, and was Assistant Coach for the IHSA Runner-Up Plainfield North High School softball team. Ben earned his Master’s in Business Administration degree from the University of St. Francis.
